These paintings are all about the experience and exploration of colour. The precise identification of real objects, trees, woods, gras, houses are not in the focus. Primary interests are the emotional effects of colour, the moment of contemplation and the process of looking and discovering... 

Structure

The beauty of the imperfect...

By using "ordinary" materials that build up structures like sand, chalk, concrete, rust, pigments, the picture extend into the 3rd dimension. The roughness, the cracks, the "on the first glance" imperfect appearance develops it own beauty. Like a weather-beaten wall or  moss-covered stone standing in the landscape.

Freezing the moment...

One part of this series is about the moment of creation, the moment of action that is still visible in the pictures, " as if it was just painted".

The second part is more poetic, gentle.  Flowing movements, lightness and ephemeral moments.
